Twin Arbor Labs is Hiring a Laboratory Technician Near San Luis Obispo, CA

Job description

We are looking for a qualified entry level lab technician to join our analytical laboratory team and undertake a variety of responsibilities throughout the lab. The ideal candidate will have experience with basic laboratory etiquette, pipetting, dilutions, buffers, wet chemistry and safely working with hazardous materials. Experience with ICP-MS, GC and HPLC are a plus. They will be trained in the use of laboratory equipment, quality management systems, safety and waste disposal and additional standard operational procedures used in the lab. Being organized in order to multitask without compromising quality is a must.Pay is dependent on education and experience with yearly reviews and opportunities for advancement.

Responsibilities

Initial processing and preparation of samples
Assist with sample preperation and basic analysis including moisture content, pH, and viscosity testing
Make buffers and mobile phase solvents and required.
Organize and store all hazardous material according to safety instructions
Record and maintain all data and results in a specified form (i.e. paper or electronic) and in conjunction with the laboratory interface program
Ensure that all safety guidelines are strictly followed at all times and maintain a clean and orderly work environment

Requirements

Experience working in a laboratory setting
Experience with some analytical chemistry procedures
Willingness to work with sensitive and hazardous material and equipment
A bachelor’s degree in a related scientific field or current enrollment in a college level
Relevant work experience in a analytical lab is highly desired

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $40,000.00 - $45,000.00 per year

Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift
  • Monday to Friday

  • San Luis Obispo, CA (Preferred)
